Where can we use Class 3 digital signature certificates?

A Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate is of the highest level as it is issued only after the registrant’s identity verification has been carried out by a Registration Authority.

A Class 3 certificate is an upgrade to the Class 2 certificate which is discontinued.
In order to participate in online auctions or submit e-tenders online, an individual must possess a Class 3 certificate.
Without a Class 3 certificate, one cannot submit e-tenders or participate in online auctions

Where can we use DGFT Digital Signature Certificate?

A DGFT Digital Signature Certificate is similar to a Class 2 certificate and differs only in area of application.

DGFT stands for The Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
A DGFT certificate is required for the Import and Export Industry indulged in Foreign Trade.

Annexure IV- Document proof of Identity and address Each applicant for a personal digital signature certificate shall provide proof of Identity and proof of address as detailed below:

Document as proof of identity (Anyone):

1. Aadhaar (eKYC Service)
2. Passport
3. Driving License
4. PAN Card
5. Post Office ID card
6. Bank Account Passbook/statement containing the photograph and signed by an individual with attestation by the concerned Bank official.
7. Photo ID card issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs of Centre/State Governments.
8. Any Government-issued photo ID having Name& address.

Documents as proof of address (Anyone):

1. Aadhaar (eKYC Service)
2. Telephone Bill
3. Electricity Bill
4. Water Bill
5. Gas connection
6. Bank Statements signed by the bank
7. Service Tax/VAT Tax/Sales Tax registration certificate.

11. Property Tax/ Corporation/ Municipal Corporation Receipt
12. Any Government issued photo ID having a Name & address
